Interesting story of 3 totally mismatched creatures having an inplausible friendship, a Woolly Mammoth, a Sloth and a Sabre Toothed Tiger. Sid the Sloth is left behind on the annual Sloth migration and during an escape from a pair of angry rhino's bumps into Manfred the Mammoth. These two discover a lost baby and Sid has the brave notion to return him to his tribe. The savage Diego, who with his pack attacked the tribe must now find the baby, encounters Sid and Manfred and thus the start of a beautiful friendship begins, well not at the beginning anyway, but as you can guess they grow on each other.

There are plenty of action filled moments to keep the kids entertained and amused through-out the movie. One of the most interesting moments is when the 3 characters are trekking through a huge cove where there are frozen relics, which are comical, my son never got the point, but he was 3 when he first watched the movie. The Dodo scene was funny and emphasized the phrase, "Dumb as a dodo".

I personally could not associate the voices to the characters, like i could with Goodman and Crystal in Monsters Inc last year. Having said that, it was fun to watch and fairly enjoyable. I felt the movie did not make a huge impact, probably due to the lack of advertising compared to Monsters Inc, but then i suspect there were huge budget differences.
